Turai said Jonathan should totally ignore advise from all those who are saying he should not grant amnesty to the dreaded Islamic sect because of the number of people they have killed.
Speaking in Lagos on Friday during an Award Gala Night organised by Niger Delta Young Professionals, Turai said, “When Yar’Adua saw that the people in the Niger Delta, particularly the children were dying callously, he (Yar’Adua) took it upon himself to grant amnesty to the militants to ensure lasting peace.
She said Northern youths should be empowered by the government. “There is poverty in the North. What Yar’Adua did in the Niger Delta, let Jonathan do the same thing to the North. Mr. President should not allow his advisers to deceive him. Let him sit down and think about the insecurity in the North,” she stressed.

And my question is,have these conditions been met? At no time has Boko Haram asked for forgiveness of their sins nor denounce their request and reasons for taking up arms against the state(Committing Treason). Who then is asking for this amnesty and for what reason?
Those who are asking for this amnesty are myopic, wicked and are enemies of this country for their is no basis to ask for amnesty. Moreover,if this clamour for any reason whatsoever sees the light of the day,then that is the beginning of the end of the fragile union called Nigeria. This will trigger a vicious circle,and the buck MUST go round all ethnic nationalities in the country as BH is the brain child and architect of the KANURI TRIBE YOUTHS.

I think its annoying for the northern leaders to still be equating freedom fighters with suicide bombers. The militants had a specific grievance and target but BH has no grievance and their target is all Nigerians. I support whatever that can stop this madness.But the North must be civil in their statements.

Turai, your husband gave amnesty to freedom fighters in Niger delta, not because he loves Nigeria or peace but because the oil thieves in the North were suffering serious loss of earnings thru bunkering. Obasanjo was fighting the MEND for years and was never going to give in and oil thieves in the north were getting restless as the oil pipes had been cut off. DeleteIt is so sad that a Bill to pay stipends to unemployed graduates was thrown out of the house and in its place the federal government considering amnesty. What message are u sending to the youths. Which is a better deal? generally enhancing the youths in this country by providing stipends to graduate to help them become selfemployed or by selecting a few and spoon feeding them in the name of amnesty. I will be suprised and disapointed with young people in Nigeria if they allow amnesty to succeed without demanding for their share

The Northern Elders Forum(NEF)has failed in their effort to frustrate GEJ out of office as were threatened.Their first strategy of attacking the Igbos hoping that Igbos would retaliate also failed. Now the evil beast they gave birth to has not only grown beyond their control but are hunting them.They are now broke socially,spiritually and financially,that is why amnesty strategy came up.

For the past few days, word has been out that President Goodluck is considering granting amnesty to terrorist sect Boko haram. In fact, so serious is the issue that some reports have it that the President as already caved in to the demands of the group.
Other reports however suggest that no decision has been reached yet. It is said that President Jonathan has set up a committee that will submit its report to the National Security Council (NSC) within two weeks.
If Amnesty is to be granted, here is the package proposed by northern elders:
1. A ministry of Northern affairs must be established
2. Each Boko haram member who embraces the amnesty will receive an initial cash reward of 3 million naira to start up a business.
3. Boko haram members who embrace the amnesty program will be giving a house by the FG
4. Boko haram leaders who embraced the amnesty program will be giving a cash gift of 20 million naira each and other juicy packages will also follow
5. Selected boko haram members from each zone will be taken abroad for training, just as the Niger delta militants enjoyed.
6. Each boko haram member will be on a monthly salary of N100,000 for a period of 3 years.
7. FG must rebuild borno, yobe and other state they claimed the JTF destroyed.
8. Security contract will be given to Boko haram leaders to secure the north.
8. JTF will be completely withdrawn from the northern states, where boko haram operates
First of all, let me state here that Turai is a big uneducated ignorant fool and a disgrace to womanhood and humanhood(if there is any word like that), so i wouldnt waste too much writing on this failure of a woman
ReplyDelete1) Bokoharam is a terrorist group, and for any government to negotiate with a terrorist group means the following
A) that government have failed in the protection of lives and properties(which it swore to uphold as one of its duties)
B) it will mean the end of Nigeria as a country as calls for secession will be more solid
C) a government that is always at the beck and call of any terrorist network has failed....
2) Bokoharam is a terrorist group that has no basis for its senseless attacks and killings, while Niger Delta Militants were rebels whose attacked were calculated and targeted @ government facilities because they were tired of the obvious maltreatment by the federal government upon them.. So, there is no basis of comparing the activities of Bokoharam and that of the militants
3) if there were to be any negotiations between the Government and Bokoharam(which is highly unlikely), the senseless terms put up by Bokoharam for the federal government to meet, is not only stupid and laughable, it is highly impossible
4) so all those idiots calling for amnesty like this stupid illiterate called turai are very very stupidly ignorant and senseless
