“Why should somebody, who has pocketed millions of Naira meant to improve the standard of living of the populace be prayed for?"This was the question asked by Pastor Wole Oladiyun, the General Overseer of Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry, CLAM, on Sunday, while stressing that it is wrong for pastors to continue to associate with and pray for “unworthy” politicians.
Pastor Oladiyun who stated this during a sermon in his church, argued that politicians, who had oppressed the citizens of the country knowingly or through negligence, should not be prayed for.
The CLAM General Overseer said, “After coveting money meant for roads, people ride on those roads and lose their lives. They are dead because of these politicians who later come for prayers. This is a sin.
“Pastors know that this is wrong and yet some would go ahead to pray for them. Whether they are governors or the President, they are all guilty and many have died because of them. These kinds are an abomination, and should therefore not be prayed for."

The love of money is what some pastors need to check. With Tithes and Offerings they can live comfortable but they want to live large like entertainers thats why such things happen.

ReplyDeleteI understand u pastor, but that isnt the way u shud put it. They shud be prayed for for them to repent but not to be given prominence or glorified in anyway. Let churches learn to distance themselves from politicians' wealth. Whatever donation they give should be rejected or scrutinised thoroughly before acceptance.
