The crisis over who is the real father of actress Laide Bakare's new baby is not going away anytime soon. Her first husband, Olumide Okunfulure, who said they are still married as there has been no formal divorce, is claiming that he "is likely" the one who impregnated her because in the last 9 months leading to pregnancy and delivery, has had intercourse with her several times.
But Laide Bakare has a different stand. Below is her position...
The actress' publicist released the following statement on her behalf:
"This is just to disabuse the minds of skeptics, as a first step. Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, was duly married to businessman, Mr. Tunde Oriowo a.k.a. ATM. These (above) are pictures from the Nikkah ceremony that was held quietly in Lagos. Also, as the pictures speak, Laide Bakare was carrying Mr. Oriowo's baby at the time.
For the nine months that she was pregnant, during which the Muslim wedding was held, Laide was under the watch and care of no other man but Mr. Oriowo who played well his roles as husband and father.
Reactions to other pettiness would come up in due course."
You may wish to know that her first husband, Mr Olumide, has challenged her to surrender the baby for a DNA test since she's claiming that he wasn't sleeping with her in the last nine months. *Gobe!*

I have said it and still saying it, this people are nothing but bundle of deception,they are only for entertainment and not educating because anyone that wants to do both must leave a life that is above the board.I'm pleased to give example of Evangelist Mike Bamiloye and others, there is clear cut difference between, Nigeria nollywood has nothing to offer than to entertain,for educational part it is zero. There's is another one that has just given birth and does not know the paternity of the new baby. The elders in the industry need to call for a summit where the new generation will be tutored .
