The atmosphere was so charged during the latest peace meeting that President Goodluck Jonathan was filled with rage after he learnt that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is supporting the Northern governors to take over power from him in 2015. Jonathan could not help but cry:
He cried out that Obasanjo was with him when he received a West African president recently and he did not suspect him of working against his 2015 ambition.
“Obasanjo created the problem, he should go and solve it,” Mr. Jonathan was quoted as saying at a meeting he held with leading members of the New PDP as it became obvious to him that Obasanjo is supporting them and they want him [Jonathan] to step down in 2015.
Jonathan, who OluFamous.Com gathered was close to physical tears as his eyes were very red, suddenly rose from his seat and stormed out of the meeting saying, "I am no longer interested in this meeting".
“We were shocked when the president walked out of the meeting in anger saying he had grown increasingly frustrated by Mr. Obasanjo’s destabilizing antics,” a source at the meeting said. “He pointedly accused the former president of being behind the crisis.”
As Jonathan was walking away, Chief Tony Anenih, who is PDP Board of Trustees chairman, went after him and begged him to calm down as anger will not help him in the matter on ground. He eventually returned but it was obvious to those present that Jonathan is ready for a fight.
EK Clark and Asari Dokubo have both advised Jonathan to fight Obasanjo, Atiku, Babangida, Amaechi and any other person working against his plan to contest the 2015 election.
Well,2015 will be full of bloodshed and if however it comes, I pray that those that orchestrated it takes a giant bite out of the event because all they wanted was for the innocent to suffer and die while they wallow in their sarcastic tears of pain for the loss of innocent lives.

Yes! Having them cooling off in an air conditioned underground holding facility where they will profer occasional advise is welcome.

ReplyDeleteMr president ought to know something clear that it will be undemocratic for "Obj" to give a categorical support to his second term bid because as he is interested in stay in power despite none performance,so also are other with good ideas in profer solution to the masses problem are interested.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, if Mr Jonathan believe in his acclaimed outstanding performance been propagated by the psychopath he needs not be afraid of contesting the primary.
It should be noted that the agitation and propaganda of power returning to the north is just a gymic to add ethnicity to present partisan politic, what the masses are tired of is the rule of PDP and president Jonathan,so the citizen are calling for change.
The race on ground has to do with credibility of candidates and party manifestos coupled with antecedent of the candidates because Nigerians are wise now that they can not be deceived again with the campaign of humble background.
The theory of single handed nomination can only work when there is peace within the party and credible performance of the candidates
Lastly, been filled with rage or unnecessary outburst would not solve the problem for Mr president rather he should follow the party wish by going for the party primary which will produce the candidate that will eventually go into poll with "in coming " ruling political party come 2015 because it is sure Nigerians have turned against PDP and are stylishly embracing APC.

ReplyDeleteIt is true GEJ is C in C but that doesnot guarantee him victory over the present gang up against him. Ameachi obviously knows this better and that is why he refused to surrender. Jonathan can't win withoutout the backing of the new faction and as things stand know, he is not in control of the dynamics. Obj was in similar situation in 2006 during the failed third term bid. The surest strength is for him to choose a successor.

Does GEJ really believe that Dokibo Asari's utterances will help him to regain his position as Mr President? Then he is a joker. Asari Dokibo is the cause of GEJ present political predicament because he GEL have never called Asari Dokibo to other on all his(Dokibo Asari's utterances). GEL seems to have appointed Dokibo Asari as his personal campaign Director, other wise there is no reason to explain why Dokibo Asari is threaten the whole Nation without him being arrested. Who will want to align him self with a militant Government?
