Imaobong Nse an indigene of Etinan who resides and schools in Ibeno, all in Akwa Ibom state, yesterday won gold in the women’s 400m final.
She’s defeated other national and international athletes,
most of who are more than twice her age in a new national record time of 52:35 secs.
Imaobong won the 400m race to set an unprecedented feat ever attained by a 14 year old in national athletics competitions in the country.
She was so impressive that a philanthropist in the Stadium donated the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira and a pair of Spike shoes to her.
