The eight governors met with embattled Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi in Port Harcourt on Thursday and expressed their displeasure with the manner the Presidency has handled issues relating to the fracas in the state House of Assembly. They urged Amaechi to meet President Jonathan for a truce.
The eight governors who visited Aamechi are:
Babatunde Fashola, Lagos; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti; Ibukunle Amosu, Ogun; Rauf Aregbesola, Osun; and Abiola Ajumobi, Oyo State. Deputy governors of Imo, Nassarawa and Zamfara states, represented their state governors.
Nigeria is now divided into 2: it is either you are in support of Amaechi or you are supporting Jonathan. Can Governor Akpabio and others ever visit Amaechi, their fellow PDP governor?
