There were strong indications on Wednesday night that President Goodluck Jonathan may call the bluff of the aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and contest in 2015.
It was learnt that top forces in the Presidency are viewing with suspicion the peace moves by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo because the aggrieved governors are seen as Obasanjo's “die-hard” loyalists.
The peace meeting called by the ex-President is scheduled for Friday in Abuja but Jonathan, who reportedly got angry at a meeting with 10 PDP governors loyal to him on Tuesday night, asked them not to lose sleep over the antics of the Akitu group.
.
A source, who spoke with NATION, said: “The President, after going through some security reports on the crisis, got angry and told the governors, ‘we will not lose sleep. Those who ignited the fire should go and quench it’.
“I think the Presidency may damn the consequences. The next few weeks might be for dirty politics. There is a likelihood of tit-for-tat politics.”
Obasanjo and the governors are trying to prevent Jonathan from contesting in 2015 because they believe he has not performed, but an aide to Jonathan said he has performed and must contest in 2015.

If the psychopath believe he had performed let them table the score card for the whole world to see.
ReplyDeleteLater both Jonathan and these psychopath would know that what makes an elder vast in experience than youth will not be make known to him or her and if eventually made known such will not be handed over to such youth. Jonathan is ready to learn his lesson of life in a bitter way and this will induce in him more knowledge.
Is there any past Nigerian Leader who have done better in teams of Nigeria better? If there is any then President Jonathan wouldn't have had any problem he would have just be improving upon the good deeds the others left behind. Please Nigerians don't blame president Jonathan because he his not cause of Nigeria's backwardness rather past leaders like OBJ,IBB,Gowon etc. Including those in the opposition called APC
DeleteAnd what about those that have been in politics for decades and are fight the President now what have they performed i saw u as a child who is trying to full another child 2015 is gonna be a bloody year what the out come will be nobody knows people shouldn't run there mouth so much because of what they believe or dislike

ReplyDeleteHe has performed, we have lost count d no of pple Boko haram had killed, is dt not performance. The most painful thing is dt innocent souls r used as sacrifice!
ReplyDeleteThis president has set up and funded 11 new federal universities, the last one was built in the 70s. NW U people want him 2 go bck 2 OTOUKE ABI. NIGERIA forfather will nt sleep
ReplyDeleteI believe GEJ would hv done much better than he did if not 4 d BK boys, bear in mind rite from the get-go some elements were out to thwart his regime.which he is trying to contain now.take asuu 4 example during OBJ's regime, they would go several months without OBJ calling them 4 talks, but GEJ is the opposite,Even the power has improved a lot unlike OBJ's regime. So what are we saying. He is trying.he needs to b given a chance.
ReplyDeleteGEJ Continues lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know when all of us would be wise in this country, sorry to say this.but we should understand that ever since we grew up to be a man is still thesame story of political tussle not providing the basic tools or amenities that better the citencenry lifes.the govt is still circleing round thesame people who ve been in the government b4 my birth.Let GEJ continues his second tenure where he hasn't finish his planned work.Do we remember OBJ wanted third tenure, what did he do?
ReplyDeleteIf somebody that once has no shoe to go to school and is behaving this way, i wonder how those with shoes will behave.
ReplyDeleteNo solution to Boko Haram, ASUU are still on Strike, 80% of our Graduate are Unemployed etc and he is still thinking of 2015.GEJ should forget it and start writing his Hand Over Note.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you saying,is nigeria presidency about coming here to try, where is d sacrifice for those that also walked barefooted b4 him n after him,he has done his bid, somebody else should take over,we r nt talking of symphaty any longer but jst pick a paticular sector and resstore it to his glory,if I have my way I would have asked all coming president to pick a sector and spend time, energy and money on it for restoration, jst for 4 yrs and b4 u knw it,any that performed well can still have another 4 yrs in another cyle of presidency.not for them to come in and try why we labor in poverty.
ReplyDeleteSlumdog millionaire
pls nigerians lets develop our brains and knw wat we r doing...?
ReplyDeleteRemy I must counsel u to desist from caalling Gej names. U claim to know God, yet u are abusive of the president. The scripture admonishes us to pray for them that have rule over us. God places every leader @ any point in time. I share ur sentiments but u too might be worse if given same position of authority. am not Saying this to stir up trouble, I respect u sir but I think its high time we have regards for our president. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMy brother! I really appreciate your observation but you know what? How do they address even the most powerful president? Apart from attaching "president" people refer to him simply as Obama.
ReplyDeleteYour observation has opened my eye to one of the ignoramus attitude on my part. I will surely work on that . Once again I really appreciate it.
. Thanks
can you see that nigeria as a country is heading to her end because of our greedy leaders?may God help us.
