Facebook Friends Lambast Jonathan Over His Christmas Message

President Goodluck Jonathan came under criticism from his Facebook friends on Tuesday after he posted his Christmas message on the social networking site.

“Mr. President hold your greetings. You and your family are having great celebration. A litre of petrol is sold at N110-N120, against N97 which is the official price. There is unprecedented traffic jam on Ore-Benin road due to bad roads. 

“People cannot go around to visit love ones because of insecurity. Bury your head in shame with your 4,500 MW when South Africa is generating 50,000 MW. It is paradoxical that many Nigerians are having dry Christmas in midst of plenty,” one of his friends, Kaycee Aloy-Obi wrote.

MTN Office In Kano Attacked; 4 Confirmed Dead

It's a black Saturday in the city of Kano as another suicide bomber attacked MTN Communication office in the state capital. The occupant of the bomb-rigged car hit the MTN headquaters at Post Office Road, Kano, about 30 minutes after the attack on Airtel's office.

As at the time of reporting, credible sources told Olufamous.com that the number of casualty from both attacks were already four.

A suicide bomber on Saturday morning drove a car into the offices of Airtel in Mallam Kato Square in Kano and exploded the bomb-rigged vehicle. Olufamous.com gathered from sources on ground in Kano that the multi-million naira edifice is still in flames as at the time of reporting.

It remains a surprise to many how the suicide bomber was able to gain access into the premises, which is heavily guarded by combat-ready security men.

15 Students Arrested in Armed Robbery Operation

Men of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested 15 polytechnic students for armed robbery.  The students carried out the operations on December 14 using a white bus:

“The police were alerted to the operations of a 15-man robbery gang that invaded two filling stations at Otun-Ekiti, with a white unregistered bus, but marked ‘SUG 002 Thunder Attack’. 

"The gang, which was found to be made up of students of a polytechnic in Kwara State, beat up the attendants of the filling stations, destroyed their dispensing pumps and dispossessed them of their sales proceeds while brandising dangerous weapons.
