This action by Emir Sanusi has generated some ripples. Shahida Sanusi, daughter of Muhammad Sanusi II, Emir of Kano, represented him at the inaugural Chibok Girls’ lecture held by the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group on Friday.

Shahida, who delivered Sanusi’s speech at the event in Abuja, said her representing the emir would be the first time a non-title holder or woman would do so in the north.

Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole and the Multi-National Joint Task Force have shot dead at least 57 Boko Haram terrorists in Arege area of northern Borno State, during a gun battle.

Desperate Man Invites Gang To Rob, Abduct His In-Law

The Oyo State Police Command said its officers arrested a 41-year-old man, Komolafe Rasaq, for "masterminding" the robbery and abduction of his in-law on New Ife Road, Ibadan.

Seven accomplices of Rasaq, comprising 3 robbers and four others, were arrested in connection with the incident.

The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, said the arrest of the suspects led to the recovery of three vehicles, including a Toyota Camry belonging to Rasaq’s in-law.

Policeman Kills South African Returnee Over N5m In Lagos

Protesting youths at Sobo bus stop, Akowonjo, Lagos State, went on the rampage yesterday after a mobile policeman shot dead a 23-year-old man, identified only as Niyi, aka Para.

As some operatives reportedly whisked away the killer cop in a van, the protesters resorted to violence, vandalising a hotel, shops and vehicles parked by the roadside in the area.

It was learnt that the policeman was one of the security officers attached to the hotel - Erico Bellisima Hotels - which is located some distance away from the bus stop.

Court Directs EFCC To Hand Over The Billions Discovered In Ikoyi House To FG

Federal High Court, Lagos, has ordered that the $38million, N23million and £27,000, recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a residential building located at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, be temporarily forfeited to the Nigerian government.

In a ruling presided by Justice Muslim Hassan, he ordered that the funds be handed over to Federal Government pending when the "owner" surfaces to make a court case against the order.

And if no one comes forward, the Billions belong to all Nigerians.

INEC Staff Return Bribe They Collected From Diezani

An American returnee, Chima Ordu, has been remanded in prison after he was caught taking pics of a policewoman allegedly extorting money from motorists in the Isolo area of Lagos.

Chima was reported to be in a tricycle when he took snapshots of the policewoman at the Oludegun Junction, Isolo, last Wednesday.

He was, however, caught and apprehended by some colleagues of the policewoman, who damaged the phone with which he took the shots.
