Desperate times indeed call for desperate measures! The governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam has cried out that members of the Boko Haram sect were planning to attack him.
"Going by security reports available to me, I may be attacked any day, anywhere, anytime and this is the reason I called on you Christians to pray for me and my family".
The governor, who is a Christian, made this revelation on Monday while addressing members of NKST Church, in Makurdi, the state capital.
Governor Suswan decried a situation in which only four Christians from the north were elected governor of their states.
He said with the demise of Patrick Yakowa in a helicopter crash and the current situation of Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State, only two Christians Governors are now left standing from the north, out of 19 states in the region.

You can pray to God yourself if you are sincere with God.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt Boko Haram is out or ethnic cleansing to put their brothers in complete control of the North. Christians should not allow this. Give them whatever it takes!!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't mind the man, how would he expect that there would be many christian governor in a muslim dominated region. How many muslim governor do we hav in the eastern part of the country. We should be rational, at least sometimes if not always

ReplyDeleteChristians are noise makers but u people dont realise dat any statement u utter will conote a meaning to others, thereby causing unrests. What is d relationship of muslims wit d death of d two govs? And he said dese statements in a church o--a supposed place of worship!. Do xtians nt believe dat d will of God will always superceed?
ReplyDeleteYou are a big fool, if you don't know what to say, close your trap
DeleteThis is a failure indeed! With all the Billions of naira being voted as security vote at your disposal? You could have cried out such nonsense at a security function rather than a place of worship. You've failed woefully by forgetting your creator and seeking protection from church members whose protection of lives and property has been entrusted on you. You are simply telling us that you are incapable as a governor. Shame!
ReplyDeletechristians constitute a significant number in adamawa, gombe, kaduna, kogi, niger, kwara and nassarawa states. their nos. can validly give them a shot at the govs seat but alas their muslim counterparts have conspired to deny them.states of benue and plateau are overwhemly xtian. i laff at the buffoon that made this comment " Don't mind the man, how would he expect that there would be many christian governor in a muslim dominated region. How many muslim governor do we hav in the eastern part of the country. We should be rational, at least sometimes if not always"
