Photos Evidence: Mansion Built For Jonathan's Minister In Abuja


An anti-corruption watchdog group, Anti-Corruption Network, led by former house member Dino Melaye has provided photos of a residence it claimed was built for Nigeria's minister of the Niger Delta ministry, Elder Godsday Orubebe in the Mabushi area of Abuja. (See more photos below)

Mr. Dino stated that a construction company Setraco built and delivered the new mansion to Mr. Orubebe in less than six months after the company benefited from contracts to build part of the East-West road in the under-veleoped Niger Delta region.

Proposed Nollywood CMO: Chief Okoroji Calls For Collective Bargaining


Chief Tony Okoroji, Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria, (COSON), the nation’s sole approved collective management organization for musical works and sound recordings has called for cooperation and mutual understanding in the establishment of the proposed Collective Management Organisation, (CMO) for the Nigerian movie industry. According to him selfish interest and personal gains should be discarded by all parties to ensure success of the CMO from take off. 


The establishment of the proposed CMO he stated can help the unity of the industry. He said “Collective management cannot solve all the problems of the movie industry but it can help the industry speak more and more with one voice and create a lot more wealth for the practitioners. For an effective collective management system to evolve in the Nigerian film industry, a system that will make the likes of Hubert Ogunde happy where ever, they may be, the different practitioners, guilds and associations must understand that it is far better to come together and jaw-jaw rather than war-war.

Pastor Confesses To Stealing Computers, Ipad


A 45-year-old pastor, Peter Oladiti has appeared before an Ibadan Magistrates’ Court charged with stealing Ipad and other sets of computer set valued at over N240,00.

Prosecutor Sikiru Opaleye told the court that the accused also allegedly stole an HP laptop computer valued N85,000 and a printing machine worth N8,000, property of a secondary school principal.

Photo: Councilor Stabs Girl For Refusing His Love Advances


Since when did love become a do-or-die affair? A former councillor of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, Onimole Babatunde, is currently being detained at the Area E Police Command, Festac, Lagos for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old girl in the neck after she refused his love advances at a night club.

On October 26, the teenage girl, Miss Mariam Abubakar, went to Pearl Habour Night Club in Rochester Garden Hotel, Festac to “catch weekend fun.”

We Will Only Dialogue With FG Through Buhari; Says Boko Haram


The dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram has finally stated its terms for a ceasefire stating that it would only dialogue with the government through former military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari and a select group of Northern elders.

In a teleconference with journalists, second in command to the Boko Haram leader, Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulazeez, on Thursday said the group would only dialogue through the following persons -
