So I thought while I signed the pregnancy termination and risk undertaken and then I lay dressed on the hospital theatre, clothed in the hospital gown and a shower cap. Clinging on to the bed sheet, I laid in fear. Although the anaesthetics made me not feel any pain but the cry of the baby in my womb that I was about to murder made my soul bleed...

But really, if I didn’t, then how could I look at my strict and hypertensive clergy mother back in Nigeria who was the head of the catholic women wing for the movement against premarital sex and teenage pregnancy? How do I disappoint my professors by dropping out of my IVY league school in America that I got on scholarship? Plus the boy who left me in this condition blatantly told me off when I told him that I was pregnant. I had a future of a better life to protect. So I thought.

TI's Freedom Party Gulps $100,000

Rapper TI is finally out of prison and his peeps are putting together a "small" party to celebrate him like the superstar that he is. The artist just finished an 11-month sentence for parole violation, and his freedom party has been slated for October 2. 

Even Diddy is joining in on the fun; shipping 150 bottles of Ciroc Vodka, that is one bottle for every person who attends the party. He is also spending $20,000 on food and $8,000 on desserts. The total expected cost of the get together is about $100,000... Let's hope TI stays out of trouble after this.

Husband On The Run As Wife Delivers Quadruplets

What should naturally be a bundle of joy is now causing tears and sorrow for one Mrs. Adeyemo, an indigene of Osun State, as her husband, Akeem Adeyemo, has abandoned her and her newly born babies, a set of quadruplets, for the past four days. Adeyemo disappeared since Sunday after a ‘congratulatory message’ was passed to him by medical personnel at a private hospital in the state.

According to one of his friend present at the vicinity:
“Immediately the message of the birth was conveyed to the father of the quadruplets, he took to his heels, saying that God has made my cup to run over. As a poor farmer, I already have four children and I don’t know where to get the money to take care of extra four children.”

Mrs. Adeyemo, a petty trader, is appealing to well meaning individuals in the state, particular the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola and his wife, to come to her aid in order to save the lives of the four kids... Mr. Adeyemo told his wife that he was going home to bring some materials for her and has not been seen by anyone since Sunday.

You Can't Go Naked Here, Farmer Chases Rihanna

A Northern Ireland farmer, Alan Graham, recently enforced a dress code on popular songstress, Rihanna, while she was shooting the video for her lead single, 'We Found Love', on his wheat farmland. According to a report monitored on AP, Graham said "I don’t know who she (Rihanna) is but she must keep her top on while performing on my land".

Trouble started when the 23-year-old, who was granted permission by the old man to shoot the video on his farmland, suddenly undressed into a stars-and-stripes bikini, a red bra, a mesh black top. As if that was not 'bad' enough for the eyes of the old man, she finally took off her bra and was totally naked, a situation that forced Mr. Graham to climb his tractor and started protesting.

He shouted that such nonsense cannot be allowed on his farmland. "The state of undress was becoming inappropriate (sic). I hope she understands where I’m coming from," Graham said.

Charley Boy Replaces Chocolate City Audu Maikori as Judge on Nigerian Idol Season 2

The second season of the Nigerian Idols was launched on Wednesday in Lagos, with a few surprises here and there. Wave making songstress, Tiwa Savage was announced as co-host to Ill Rhymz, a popular VJ. The franchise dropped Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori, from the Judges panel and replaced him with area father, Charles Oputa (aka Charley Boy). Yinka Davies and Jeffrey Daniel would however remain as judges. 

The show which begins airing on December 4th, 2011, kicks off with auditions in four major Nigerian cities - Abuja, Port Hacourt, Enugu and Lagos. This season would have the winner take home prizes valued at $100,000.
