Court Remands Man in Prison Over Missing Manhood
The next time somebody shake your hand in a strange manner that makes you feel somewhat uncomfortable from within, it would be advisable you check your self properly and be sure of what you feel or believe you're feeling before taking another step.
Something strange happened at the Idumagbo area of Lagos last week Monday that has remained a mystery to the 'victim' irrespective of how the issue is playing out at the moment. Nigerian Bachelor Jailed for Seducing Married Woman
A stubborn fly, they say, enters the grave with the corpse. This dictum aptly captures the present fate of one Attahiru Umar Sade, a bachelor from Bauchi State who was sentenced to a total of 4 years imprisonment with hard labour on Monday.
Following his refusal to heed persistent warnings from Mr. Suleiman Bello to stop wooing his wife, Munira Mohammed, the convict was dragged before a Chief Magistrate court sitting in Bauchi, capital of Bauchi State. Mr. Suleiman had told the court that sometime in July 2010 the convict started ‘disturbing’ his wife for a love relationship and she reported to matter to him.
He said he approached Attahiru (the convict) as a gentleman and warned him to desist from any kind of interaction with his wife and that...

Federal Government Launches ‘You WiN’ Scheme
The federal government on Tuesday launched its much talked about youth empowerment scheme tagged ‘You WiN’, as part of efforts to encourage young Nigerians to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The programme, which is a collaboration of the Ministries of Finance, Communication Technology and Youth Development, is expected to run for three years as a competition. It’s coming with an annual Business Plan Competition (BPC) for aspiring young entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
The objective of the programme is to attract ideas and innovations from young enterprising Nigerians. It will provide a one-time equity grant for about 1,200 selected aspiring entrepreneurs to start or expand their business concepts, with a view to mitigate start up risks. The target is to generate between 40,000 to 50,000 new jobs and reduce the number of unemployed youths in Nigeria.
Since this is not the first time government will be coming up with "schemes", we'll be watching keenly to see how far this latest initiative would go in addressing the challenges on ground.
