PHOTO NEWS: Baba Suwe Gets Bail from Lagos High Court

At last, the wishes of the people seem to be coming to pass. A Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja has granted popular comedian, Baba Suwe, bail. The man, who has failed to drop any "expensive shit" thus far, was all smiling as his arrived the court premises this morning (November 1, 2011) where a team of senior lawyers assembled to argue for and against the enforcement of his "fundamental rights".

In her ruling on the matter, Justice Yetunde Idowu granted Baba Suwe bail in the sum of N500,000 effective November 4, 2011. The judge ordered that the comic actor must be released by the NDLEA on the 4th of Novemeber if no drug is found in his excreta at the expiration of the 15 days earlier granted by a federal high court to keep him in custody.

RCCG Pastor is 'Britain's Most Inspirational Black Person'

Pastor Agu Irukwu of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jesus House, London Parish, has been chosen as "Britain’s Most Inspirational Black Person". He was picked from a list that also included current US president, Barack Obama, former South African President, Nelson Mandela, and African-American icon, Martin Luther King.

The poll was organized by Mayor of London, Boris Johnson in collaboration with the popular free Metro Newspaper. According to the newspaper's website: "The competition takes place during Black History Month, which champions black culture, history and heritage, and seeks to recognise the contribution made by black people to Britain".
