Stop Carrying Bags For Politicians; IG Warns Policemen

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has warned his men who work as orderlies to politicians and other VIPs to stop carrying handbags and other personal effects for them.

Speaking with newsmen in Calabar on Thursday, IGP Abubakar said the duty of an orderly was to ensure the safety and well being of his principal and not to play the role of a house boy. “VIPs should take note that when we give them orderlies, they are not supposed to be turn into house boys and house girls.”
