Couple Dies Mysteriously Inside Car In Kano
A young man, Abubakar Abba and a lady, Ahmed Lawan Maduwa, both in their twenties, were found dead inside a Peugeot 406 car on Wednesday at Kundila quarters in Kano.
The young man has been identified by his elder brother, Ahmad Lawan Maduwa who claims to be the owner of the car. The cause of their deaths has not been ascertained as at the time of posting.

TRAGEDY: DIG John Haruna Dies In Helicopter Crash
Former Commissioner of Police in the FCT and newly promoted Deputy Inspector General of Police, John Haruna, is dead. Mr. Haruna, his orderly and two others were among the fatalities in Wednesday's helicopter crash in Jos.
A statement by the Plateau State Police spokesman, ASP Samuel Dabai, confirmed the incident.

Teenager Sentenced To Prison For Robbing Policeman
A Chief Magistrate's Court sitting in Abeokuta on Tuesday jailed a teenage boy, Chukwade Nnorom, for stealing, conspiracy and unlawful possession of items belonging to a Nigeria Police Officer, Mr. Michael Kogi.

Jonathan Approves New Camouflage Uniform For Police
President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday approved a new camouflage uniform for the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force. The test-run was launched by the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Dikko Abubakar.
This is the second time in recent times the government is making moves to change the all black uniform of the Police. Years ago, a blue shirt was introduced for the Police, but the senior officers didn't allow the lower ranks benefit from the policy.
