4 UNILAG Students Arraigned For Raping Female Student

Four students of the University of Lagos were on Tuesday charged before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly gang raping a 17-year-old female student.

The accused persons - Jeremiah Bamigbayan, 18; Lanre Olayemi, 19; Abisoye Atoyegbe, 18; and Nelson Onyeoziri, 18 - are facing a three-count charge of rape, conspiracy and assault.

The Kano State High Court has convicted and sentenced three policemen for abduction, conspiracy and rape of a 16-year-old girl in 2011.

The men were former Insp. Dantalle Muhammed, who was convicted on 3 counts of abduction, conspiracy and rape, and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in addition to a fine of N100,000 for rape.

Raymond Dokpesi Must Pay Fidelity Bank N7.5bn - COURT

Chief Raymond Dokpesi owner of AIT and RayPower FM (Daar Communication Plc), have been ordered by a Federal High court in Lagos to pay the sum of N7.5bn debt to Fidelity Bank Plc.

Justice Mohammed Idris, in his judgment on Monday, ordered that the company should pay the debt with all its accrued interest as claimed by the bank in its writ of summons.
