Ex-Gov Saraki Goes Into Hiding As Court Gives Police Power To Arrest Him

Former chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum and immediate past governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki, on Thursday went into hiding after he was handed a judicial setback in his effort to bar the police from interrogating him on his role in "a major bank loan fraud" involving his companies.

I hear Justice Gladys Olotu of the Federal High Court in Abuja rejected Senator Saraki’s request for a restraining order against the special anti-fraud unit of the Nigeria police, which seeks to question him over his involvement in a $133.5 million loan fraud at InterContinental Bank.

Explosion Rocks ThisDay Newspaper Office In Abuja

A bomb exploded at ThisDay corporate office opposite the Jabi Motor Part in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday. The explosion was said to have shook the building to its foundation and others around the area. Some persons lost their lives while about 5 staff were said to have sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The management of ThisDay Newspaper has confirmed the attack on their facility.

SHOCKER: Mallam Sanusi Dragged To Court For “Stealing”

Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN is being sued by a US based Nigerian lecturer for alleged plagiarism.

Prof. Victor Dike, of the School of Engineering and Technology, National University of Sacramento, California, in a suit filed in an Abuja High Court on his behalf by Mr. E. U. Chinedum, accused Sanusi of making use of his work without properly referencing and crediting him.
