While speaking about the place of love and money in the sustenance of a relationship recently, Nollywood Actress Shan George has this message for her fellow ladies: “Never fall in love with a poor man, because money would always be more important to him than your heart.”
Should Shan George who struggled many years on the streets of Lagos before she was able to lift her head up be the person to make this statement? Are so called "poor" men suffering from leprosy?

Help me tell her say she dey craze well well. She and her ugly husband dont know tomorrow. Kalu
ReplyDeleteFor Sham George who acts in movies where girls from "wealthy" home gets married to "poor" guys and they live happily to say this, it means we don't need to watch Nollywood movies again bcos they cant practice what they preach.
ReplyDeleteWhen she said poor , literarilly it may not mean in terms of money. Let read the full detail before we crucify her. A man can be poor mentally and futur wise and at the same time, a very wealthy guy can also be poor. Let not be sterotyped in our thinking. Aj Ajibola Oginni
ReplyDeleteShe's being real, Truth dey painful. Have you seen a marriage with love and no money and one with love and money? Abeg which one do you prefer. Hv u ever been sent home from school for owing schl fees and you know popsy no get job and the little money wey mumsy dey make is just enough for a good meal a day, then next day early mo mo , na landlord wake una, asking for rent owed for over a year. Think about this, i think men should have a good plan, a source of income before getting married you dont have to be extremely wealthy but an income and a good plan, with God on your side, things will definitely work out well.

ReplyDeleteNever fall in love with a poor man / woman, because money would always be more important to him / her than your heart and love .”So many people end up in relationships that do not fulfill them because they are entering the relationship with the wrong expectations and for the wrong reasons. Example of this is someone entering a relationship as a way to feel complete, or escape a poor situation.Many people feel unsatisfied with themselves and their lives, and believe that someone else will be able to fill in that gap for them. Placing the responsibility for your happiness on someone else is unrealistic and will only result in disappointments in the relationship. You also need to acknowledge and accept the fact that there is no such thing as the perfect relationship...

@ Aj Ajibola Ogunni,if actually u under-go a kind of educational changes,then read the handwriting on the wall accurately my friend before talking trash.Read what is quoted from her utterances written in red.{That she said never fall in love with a poor man,that money would always be more important to him than your heart}
ReplyDeleteSHE HAS SIDE HER MIND,look at it very well poverty is a disgrace
ReplyDeleteMarry a good man with a rich mind not just any man bcos of riches. Ben
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned, her definition of a POOR MAN is vague. I wish she could be interviewed so that she can clarify this issue. Sincerely, who is a poor man? Do you consider an unemployed university graduate to be POOR simply because he's yet to get a job and could not afford all those BASIC things which Nigerians see as LUXURY? Shan George must expatiate on her definition of a poor man so that we can put her where she rightly belongs.
