Though it is generally accepted that a man should be his brother’s keeper, the move to practise this saying almost spelt doom for a Good Samaritan, Mr. Oluwole, as the young man he took into his household to help turned against him and brought an armed robbery gang into his house to cart away his property.
Mr. Oluwole had a commercial bus and met with one Michael Sunday from Benue State at Obalende area of Lagos State. Michael was working as a conductor but Mr. Oluwole was touched by his lifestyle, hence he decided to make Michael a member of his household by asking him to come and live with him in his house at Sango in Ogun State.
To his surprise, however, after spending about two months in his house, Michael told his guardian that he wanted to leave. Unknown to him, Michael had other plans which manifested barely two weeks after he left Oluwole’s place.
