Governor Fashola Donates N4.5m to Sick Actress, Ngozi Nwosu


The prayers of ailing Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has been answered. The Fuji House of Commotion star who needs about Six Million Naira (N6m) for a kidney transplant in the UK got N4.5 million from Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State.

Friends and fans of the actress were able to raise about N2million for her.

Bishop Disgraces Jonathan, Others During Azazi’s Burial


It was a big shame for President Goodluck Jonathan and other political leaders on Saturday in Bayelsa State as Bishop of Bomadi Catholic Diocese, Vicarage Hyacinth Egbebor, in his homily, blamed the crash that killed former NSA Andrew Azazi and former Governor Patrick Yakowa on corruption.

At the state funeral of Azazi in Peace Park, Yenagoa, attended by President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, the Minister of God insisted that leaders in the country were so corrupt that they had compromised the safety of everywhere, including the airspace.

Kogi State Governor Walks Around With Crutches


Following the series of suggeries he went through at an Abuja hospital, Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada, who was involved in a car accident last Friday, is said to be fighting to return to his feet.

The governor now walks around with inside his hospital room with the aid of crutches, probably to prove he's the strong man he claimed he is.

SHOCKER! Obasanjo Don't Think Jonathan Can Develop Nigeria


Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed optimism that despite the challenges confronting Nigeria, the country will be great again through the efforts of those that would come later. He thinks the leaders on ground now are not the best managers of our resources.

Obasanjo said that Nigeria is never a cursed nation but her problem is bad leaders.

I Regret Insulting Keshi But He Wasn't Fair To Me —Osaze


Estranged Super Eagles attacker Osaze Odemwingie has said he regrets his abusive Twitter comments. He claimed they were made because coach Stephen Keshi was not fair to him. He even described Chris Green, whom he had also abused, as a good man:
“I remember it was Green who settled my case with Siasia then, but I was too angry when he called me over this matter, and was impatient to listen to him.”  
“My comment was not directed at him personally, but to those who made the decision, but I think I overreacted then.”

PDP Chief Asks Jonathan to Stop Subsidy in 2013


The ground appears to have been prepared for another New Year confrontation between President Goodluck Jonathan and organised labour, following a stiff opposition by civil rights groups to a suit asking Jonathan to totally remove the subsidy on fuel in 2013.

A chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Stanley Okeke, has filed a suit in which he is asking a Federal High Court to compel the President to remove fuel subsidy totally.
