Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday said providence saved him from the fire which recently burnt a part of his Hilltop Mansion because, if the fire had occurred during the night, he would have been suffocated by fumes from the inferno.

"The fire, which occurred in the office of my private secretary, resulted in thick smoke which pervaded my bedroom. If it had happened at night, I would have been a dead person.

An 18-year-old girl, Rebecca Bernardo from Brazil is auctioning off her virginity in an effort to raise money for her sick mother, who recently suffered a stroke. "I made up my mind right after my 18th birthday. That’s when my mother suffered a stroke", she said. 

She announced the auction via YouTube and has so far received three bids, the highest being $35,000.
