What kind of system of government are we running in Nigeria? Can you image this? The Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke, has said the federal government will not prosecute the "fraudulent" marketers indicted in the House of Reps probe into the management of the fuel subsidy.
What is his excuse? He said the House merely embarked on a ‘fact-finding’ mission.
Reacting to calls by majority of Nigerians that all those found wanting should be prosecuted, the AGF in a statement on Thursday said the Goodluck Jonathan government will need relevant agencies to conduct necessary investigations before it can consider any prosecution.
His statement read in part: “Government must be guided by the dictates of the rule of law and due process as required of any democratically elected and responsible government".
Olufamous.com sincerely hopes that Mr. Adoke is not trying to replay his script of January 2012 when he said the resolution by the House of Reps that the government should suspend its decision to increase fuel price was a mere advise and not binding.
That statement, it would be recalled, was what made a lot of Nigerians to join the protests because they see it as a slap on the people and their elected Representatives.

This man it seems want to turn himsef into another Ahondoaka... Nigerians are watching him closely.

Adoke is speaking for himself not Nigerians
ReplyDeleteWell, there is no doubt about it our leaders occupied their various position accidentally. But what does Adoke mean by RELEVANT AGENCY? This is purely the hand work of GEJ & his team. This government is a total failure & will continue to be.

Adoke is already a man not useful to himself talk less of Nigeria. We all knw his antecedents. So l belief he is talking on his own. Wharis the essence of wasting our money & raising our hopes for a better Nigeria, when they knw dat the committee's findings & recommendations will not be implemented, while the defaulters ,rogues & the enemies of the nation will not be brought to book. Pls, back to my questn l alwz ask, who is fooling who?
