Men of the Nigeria Police Force are really doing their best to tackle kidnappers:
Following the kidnap of Nollywood actress and special assistant to Imo State governor on Public Affairs, Nkiru Sylvanus, in Owerri on December 16, 2012 and her subsequent release after the sum of N8 million was paid by her family, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Adisa Bolanta, had promised that he would fish out the perpetrators.
He has made good that promise as four members of a kidnap gang said to be responsible for Nkiru's kidnap were paraded on Monday at the Police headquarters in Owerri.
The state Police boss, while parading the suspects, gave their names as Okoro Basil, Stella Opara (female), Festus Olegeme and Chijioke Chima. CP Bolanta revealed that the kidnap gang were apprehended in Imerienwe, Ngor Opkala area of Imo State by a counter-terrorism team led by ASP Cyril Obu.
He added that they also recovered the ransom paid to the abductors.
Nkiru will not like this arrest as it may expose her rape by the kidnappers which she has been trying to hide....sorry u cant hide it forever!
