The outspoken Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday shocked many Nigerians when he declared that it was former President Olusegun Obasanjo that made him governor.
According to Akpabio, who spoke at the...
75th birthday party organised for Chief Obasanjo in Lagos, it was the former president's insistence on fairness and due process that made it possible for him to become governor, against all odds, especially from enemies within the PDP.
“At that time, I didn’t know anyone and I had no sponsor, but for Baba’s fairness and insistence on fair play and deepening of democracy, I would not have become the governor of the state. I and the people of Akwa Ibom State are grateful for his fairness and that insistence that the right process should be followed,” the performing governor said.
Baba made a lot of people something in this country, including Jona. But what have they done? Failures!

ReplyDeleteMy guys! Baba did a lot of good things for this country oh…! Many of you expected much, that is why you cannot count his deeds and blessings one by one. He made possible, the establishment of the GSM network in Nigeria which you are using to catch those babes o..! You could have been searching for them by hiding by the corner of your neighbour’s house. Joke apart. If you don’t know, he prevented the worst men of military from coming back to power via democracy. Have you forgotten that our debts were forgiven? Well, just to mention but a few. Please let us appreciate this God made great man (Baba). If you appreciate, you will not depreciate. Engr Nzete.
ReplyDeleteWhat can I not say, in the era of Baba (OBJ), Boko Harram could not unleash their uncivilized way of winning souls on our children, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers. They might have been there but they held their peace. You nor know say face they fear face. Baba OBJ, Kaabesi oo... Cheers, Emeke.
