Photos: Minister Paddles A Canoe To Her Village Due To Flood

It's now obvious why President Goodluck Jonathan made an emergency broadcast on Tuesday morning where he direct the release of billions of Naira to several flood-raved states in Nigeria.
(See more pictures below)

The president's home town in Otueke, Bayelsa State is flooded, several Governors, Senators and Ministers can no longer access their country homes due to heavy flood.

As seen in the these pictures the minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, needed a canoe before she could get to her compound in Akili village, Anambra State.

Why must our leaders take action only when they're affected?

  3. Properties worth millions are being destroyed by floods, those in government will use our money to refurbish their houses after the flood. But what happens to ordinary Nigerians without access to government money?
