“We were able to break the mould and win a lot of Grand Slams and change the face of tennis, at a time, when tennis was very dominated by white people... It doesn’t matter what your background is and where you come from, if you have dreams and goals, that’s all that matters,” said Serena.
Venus, who is a year older than her sister, said that Nigerian women must believe in their ability to get to the peak of their careers.
“Self-belief is very important in life. Nigerian women must believe that they can succeed. We did it and that is the message we bring to Nigerian women. It is possible to become the very best if you believe and work on the things that would make you achieve those dreams.
“I also believe that Nigerian tennis players can also become great if they train well, believe and stay focused”, added Venus.

DeleteNigeiran women fuck too much! They fuck around for money like dogs (Umu Nkita)while their American counterparts work hard for their money!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so.Nigerian Ladies don't want to work and that baffles me.Pls change ashawo no pay,and to tell you the truth you get old quickly for fucking different men.Be smart about your life.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that the William sisters have come to inspire Nigerian women so that they can be empowered psychologically.on the other hand there seems to be no international male role model in recent times who has come to inspire Nigerian men.if it is true that what is good for the Goose should be good for the Gander why is there no one on stage to inspire Nigerian men to make good of world class status?, if equality of the Sexes exists why does it appear that Nigerian men do not need role models to inspire them since it is not in the news .
ReplyDeleteMay be you are not aware that a model and a facilitator came. There are male role models. Recently, Evander Holyfield, former Undisputed World Champion in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, came to Delta State and was hosted by our amiable Governor, HE Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan. Part of the aim of his visit is to inspire and facilitate whoever that is interested in what earned him the nickname, ‘The real deal’. You can start from there if you have the affinity for boxing (Ikpa). Regards, Engr Nzete.
DeleteAlso to remind you of your unawareness that role models both in America and in europe even Asia came to Nigeria and are still coming for men's inspiration both in music industry, sports, movies, business etc.Am sure that u don't really know what is going on in your father land.
