Last week Saturday, Omo Oba Adebola Adejobi who doubles as the Managing Director, Tropical Services Nigeria Limited, a frontline Oil and Gas servicing firm, hosted friends, business associates and family to a lavish Engagement and Wedding reception, as he gave his daughter Afolake Olivia out in marriage to Wale Adegoke in the heart Lagos. It was a high octane event that attracted a handful of Celebrities,Oil and Gas Magnates, ex-top service chiefs, politicians, society big-wigs, business tycoons and top Publishers, Editors and journalists.
The engagement held at the Event Center in Agidigbi while the wedding service and reception whichwas to allow the Omo Oba Adebola Adejobi and the newly wedded couple, friends and family unwind after their wedding service, took place at the Anchors event centre,Agidingbi
Omo Oba Adebola Adejobi decked in aBlueAso-oke Buba, Sokoto and Agbada, cap and customised Black shoe by Salvatore Ferragamo, as his wifeOlori Bola Adejobi was the first to take to the floor on the invitation of the Master of Ceremony, ace comedian and radio presenter Ajebo of Wazobia Fm .
The Oil and Gas big Boy, Mr Adejobi and his daughter, Olivia Adejobidanced to the melodic tunes of Lagos based Zigma band, and Disc Jockey, to the admiration of the guests and close friends at the cocktail. Other side attractions of the wedding ceremony celebration include, a special dance between Omo Oba Adebola Adejobi and his daughter,one which elicited attention and saw father and daughter shed tears of joy.Cultural dance performance by the Dance troupe, Piano Solo and song rendition by Lagos based Pianist and Music Producer,Adedayo Adejobi were part of the surprise highlight of the event.
In Pastor Tunde Bakare’ssermon during the church service, he admonished the couple to make Jesus Christ their foundation. He also encouraged positive communication,mutual respect, closeness, communication one another.
Specifically,Bakare advised the “"The ideal marriage is not give and take. It is give and give." He is exactly right! If you want your marriage to fit into God's ideal for what a home should be, then it will require much giving on behalf of both parties. When a marriage is lived right, it is a thing of great beauty and tremendous blessing. It brings a fulfillment to life that cannot be duplicated. However, it takes work! It takes prayer. It takes commitment! It takes people who are willing to place their own desires on the back burner and place the needs of their spouse ahead of their own. It takes people who are willing to live by God's standards instead of the standards of society.’’ He enthused.
