Sources say the sack was as a result of salary dispute between the company's management and staff. Before now, the customer care staff were being paid N65,000 monthly, but the new management slashed the salary to N35,000. Their reason is that customer care workers in India are paid $200, and that only managers earn as much as N75,000 per month. Hence, they could not pay "mere" customer care agents as much as what an Airtel manager earns in India.
The latest now is that if you call Airtel customer care centre, it will be picked by somebody in Ghana and the only languages available to customers are English and Pidgin... Airtel is however denying the news.

ReplyDeleteIt's only an ignorant man that will not realise Nigeria is in utter shambles. Some years ago, that singer said Nigeria Jaga-jaga, we all critised him. Bad luck Jonathan, the worst democratic president in history.
