Popular Juju/gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele, is troubled. Why? He is about to lose one of his pricey investments located in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Just a few weeks ago, his magnificent edifice was said to have been earmarked for demolition by the Oyo state government. It is said to be worth over N200m.
The Yinka Ayefele Music House, as the property is known, has within its premises, an internet radio station, a standard studio, and several offices. It is also said to provide employment for about 100 people.
Already, the musician is frantically trying to get the state government to rescind its decision that would see his years of toiling go down the drain. The demolition is to give way to a road expansion project.

If his papers are genuine let him drag the government to court....no sentiments
ReplyDeleteWhy did he build his house on the wrong place? Nigerians should learnt to do the right thing
ReplyDeleteHe should have ask for the master plan before building is house.he as no choice he must remove is house from there.
ReplyDeleteI pray God will see him tru dis tryin time of his life nd I pray all his labour will not be in vain
ReplyDeleteI pray God will help him
ReplyDeleteTHE GOVT IS GREATER THAN YINKA. LET HIM REMOVE HIS BUILDING TO ALLOW FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE PUBLIC ROAD. NIGERIANS SHOULD STOP SENTIMENTS IN JUDGMENT. THIS IS THE ONLY IMPEDIMENT THAT MILITATES AGAINST THE PROGRESS OF INDIVIDUAL AND NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY. IF YINKA BRIBES HIS DECISION OUT TODAY, THE FUTURE GOVT. WILL NOT BE MERCIFUL TO HIM BECOS NIGERIANS EYES ARE OPENING ON DAILY BASIS
ReplyDeleteIt is not a matter of who is greater than who, rather, why did was his application for permission to build the edifice approved. If he can get good proficient lawyer, he has a credible case and compensation will have to be paid to him as well.
ReplyDeleteYes Patrick i am in support that he gets a good lawyer to help him for good settlement. i realised that most of the building around the Ibadan axis are causing the high traffic on that road. it will be better for him to seek for settlement immediately before it is too late for him.
