A credible source at the Military Hospital disclosed that he has seen 5 corpses brought in so far as well as many, including choir members, injured from the blasts.
He also said some of the cases brought in may be beyond the capacity of the hospital to treat and they may have to be referred to the 44 Army Reference Hospital or the ABU Teaching Hospital, Shika.
The source said a good number of those affected by the blast were members of the church's choir as the congregation had already begun to disperse when the attack happened.
As at the time of reporting, authorities at the Cantonment have sealed off all entry and exit routes into the barracks as well as blocking all traffic on the Zaria to Kaduna lane of the express way in front of the cantonment.
It was gathered that a smaller bomb was initially detonated causing a scare before a suicide bomber drove a bomb-laden car into the church, causing serious havoc.

ReplyDeleteGEJ should resign if he can not provide security 4 d people. He's 2 timid and afraid to tackle d problem. He's a failure. No reasonable leader will sit back and watch citizen been slaughtered by evil criminal cult like BAKO HARAM.He has all d power to wipe them out but instead he's calling them his brothers. He should be ashame of himself.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how some people keep on criticizing the President over the issue of Boko Haram instead of suggesting solution. You said he has power to wipe them off,can you give him the address of Boko harams for him to go there one after the other? Are you not aware that these people are living in the midst of other innocent and decent Nigerians or do you want him to wipe everybody so that nobody will remain? Also, remember that nobody will know how to repair a product more than the manufacturer. Boko Haram is the political product of the Northerners. The Northern elders have the solutions in their hands. Please offer solutions and no criticisms.
DeleteBalla, u er a full. Thunda wil wipe away ur family.
ReplyDeleteNo Balla bh are just criminals may the wrath ofAllah befalls them
ReplyDeleteNo responsible government can dialogue with criminals.
ReplyDeleteThe government is insensitive to security responsibilities.
Any person that favours dialogue after Boko Haram had slaughtered thousands of innocent citizens and destructions of property is an enemy to this country.
I pity GEJ for not acting
