34-year-old Richard Olanrewaju had filed for divorce on August 16, 2012, on the grounds that his wife, Elizabeth, is a bad cook. "Since I married my wife, I hardly enjoyed her food; she is a bad cook. Most times, I am forced to buy food to eat," he had submitted.
Mr Richard also claimed that Elizabeth had an illicit affair with his younger brother when she travelled to his parent’s residence in Ekiti. "When I confronted her, she confessed and begged for forgiveness," he said.
Elizabeth, however, denied having any sexual relationship with her brother-in-law. "When I went to Ekiti, my husband's brother and I shared a room.
"At night, my brother-in-law tried to make love with me, but I pushed him away and ran to my mother-in-law's room," she claimed.
After all efforts to resolve their issues failed, an Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Tuesday dissolved the estranged couple's 12-year-old marriage. President of the court, Mr Adewale Eko, held that Richard and Elizabeth were no longer husband and wife.
"This court has no choice than to dissolve the union, in spite of the fact that the wife still claims she loves her husband. The parties are free to go their separate ways, the court President ruled.
He referred the custody of the four children of the marriage to the Family Court, and ordered Richard to pay N50,000 to his estranged wife to enable her start a new life.

I blame the woman for not learning how to cook after 12 yrs of marriage but as for the infidelity her mother-in-law might be playing her husband's script..... Why ask her to share a room with a man instead of staying with the mother-in-law? Strange!
ReplyDeleteHad no idea that ur own brother would want to fuck ur wife! Demons!
ReplyDeleteHaba...You must be a fool to say that he has no idea that his brother want to fuck his wife.Yoruba men always like to fuck their brother's/relatives wieves. Is in their blood.

ReplyDeleteWhy would she share room wt her brother-in-law why her mother-in-law was dia? She has notin to defend herself cos she was not careful enough
ReplyDeleteSo true ,she should have slept with a mother in-law.
DeleteIt's a shame!
ReplyDeleteA good lesson for other lazy women out there...
Why can't the man help his wife in her short comings - he can teach her to cook if he truly loves her. Nobody is perfect! If she will eventually run to her mother in laws room to sleep, why did she share a room with her bro inlaw? Women be careful! Don't learn from your own mistakes!
