Governor's Son Arrested For Money Laundering At Kano Airport

The wealthy men in our country, their children and associates are getting richer by the day, yet they say there is no money to develop Nigeria. What a WICKED set of leaders we have in this country!
One of the sons of the Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, was arrested around 12 midnight at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport as he prepared to board an Egypt Air flight to Cairo.
Aminu Lamido was flagged after he declared $10,000 in his possession to agents of the Nigerian customs at the airport. However further checks by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the airport revealed that he was carrying a lot of money far higher than was disclosed.
Custom officials at the airport disclosed that the governor's son travels frequently with huge wads of cash ostensibly to launder money on behalf of his father and some officials of the state.

Spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, who confirmed the arrest to Sahara Reporters, assured that the EFCC will charge Mr Aminu to court for money laundering.

  1. If Nigerians don't wake up and stop being afraid of these fools in power nothing will move....
Money for Roads, Electricity, Water, Housing will continue to disappear into the pockets of politicians and nothing will happen!

  4. These politicians have killed this country
    Efcc has been rendered impotent.
Even if the governor's son is charged to court, what will be the end result?
Freeing him for lack of evidence by the corrupt judiciary.
In an advanced country, the governor resigns from his post. He needs not to wait for an impeachment to meet him, which is highly disgraceful
Nigerians have been pushed to the wall.
The people need to fight back.
