Nigeria is indeed a country in deep shit as it appears corruption is now fully incharge of our affairs with the president's continuous open celebration of and association with criminals and ex-convicts.
President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday described the ex-convict former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, as his political benefactor.
Recall that Alamieyeseigha was detained in London on charges of money laundering in September 2005. He escaped from the UK in December 2005. He pleaded guilty before a Nigerian court to six charges in July 2007, and was sentenced to two years in prison on each charge.
This is not totally a surprise to many close watchers of events in Aso Rock as Mr President is known to openly associate with corruption politicians and businessmen, most of whom are standing trial for corruptly enriching themselves at the expense of the Nigerian economy.

Nothing wrong with that afterall Alams is his brother. What about others that are corrupt are they not celebrated?
