As the 2012 edition of the Next Movie Star came to a close, Halimat Aitsegame, a 22-year-old actress was unanimously voted winner by the judges ‘based on the effort she put into her stay in the 30-day reality show’.

Halimat is to get a car and movie contracts that would formally launch her into Nollywood.

The Next Movie Star made its debut in 2004 and has produced popular actors including Tamara Eteimo, the 2011 winner, Uti Nwachukwu, Tonto Dike, Annie Macaulay, Kevin Chuwang Pam, and several others.
