Those were the words of Ghetto Soldier, Daddy Showkey (real name John Asiemo), while addressing a mammoth crowd of protesting Nigerians on Thursday at the rally against fuel subsidy removal in Ojota, Lagos.
He begged his fans across the country to forgive him for the ‘mistake’ he made by associating with the Goodluck Jonathan-led government. Daddy Showkey is even more pained by the fact that his voice was recorded on the campaign songs of a President that is now seen as insensitive to the yearnings and aspirations of millions of Nigerians.

Showkey did the right thing. That I collect money from you and render a service does not mean I cant dissociate myself from you if you begin to progress in error.
