Relatives of victims of the ill-fated DANA aircraft are expected to get $100,000 (about N16m) as insurance claims from the management of DANA Airline, for each of the 153 passengers who died during the unfortunate incident.
Also, DANA is expected to pay $250,000 (N40m) to the families of the two pilots as compensation, while the six crew members will each get $150,000 (N24m).
This is in line with the requirement of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
However, the Government agency have begun DNA tests for the 148 DANA crash victims who have been taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) morgue in Ikeja to allow easy identification by their relatives.
So far, about 88 males, 48 females and 12 children have been recovered.

Too poor, they should pay at least N50million each

ReplyDeleteVery good question! What compensation are they giving to those that weren't on d plane but also died?
DeleteHow would it have sounded if half of the money had been used to procure a new plane by DANA? Can this millions bring back our loved ones who are dead? I know for sure that no sinner will go unpunished.
