Otedola Wins Ethics Committee: House Orders Open Probe

Could this be the money we are looking for?

Following the insistence of the Chairman of Zenon Petroleum, Mr. Femi Otedola that he will only speak openly to the House of Reps Ethics Committee investigating the $620,000 bribery scandal involving Hon. Farouk Lawan, the leadership of the House has directed the committee to reverse "its selfish decision" to hold its hearings in secret.

Olufamous.com gathered that the directive was issued down over the weekend.
Sources also revealed that the Ethics Committee has been instructed to invite the Director General of the SSS, Mr. Ita Ekpeyong, to shed light on the Farouk/Otedola sting operation.

The ethics committee which is investigating the alleged bribe offered by Otedola to Lawan to clear his name from the list of indicted beneficiaries of the administration’s subsidy regime got enmeshed in controversy last Tuesday after Mr. Otedola insisted that he must be heard in public and not in secret.

Following the refusal of Otedola to submit to the secret hearing, Chairman of the House Committee on Ethics, Rep. Musa Gambo had described him as “stupid.”

Recall that Olufamous.com reported last week that the ethics committee insistence on hearing Otedola in secret raised controversy in the House last Thursday as some members open accused that the Ethics Committee of over reaching itself and thus portrayed the House in a negative image.

  1. That House is becoming a disgrace to Nigerians who elected them with the kind of characters they use to head committees who dont know their limitations. OI

  2. Tambuwal should take it a step forward by changing members of the committee because they appear bias.

This time around, the fowl's anus shall be blown off after the wind had slided the feather of the fowl to a negative direction.
    Long live Otedola
