It has become imperative for the relevant authorities in the banking sector to look into the activities of the management of Access Bank with regards to the working conditions of their staff and unreasonable target to those in marketing unit, Olufamous.com observed.
Latest reported is that another staffer of the financial institution, identified as Caleb Ogbonnaya died while on duty on Monday September 03 2012.
He reportedly slumped and died at the Oyin Jolayemi, Lagos Office of the bank.
Just as in the case of 29 year old Solabomi Olugbemi of the Retail Business Unit barely two weeks ago, who reportedly suffered hypertension over inability to meet her target - he was rushed to the hospital, but didn’t survive.
This development has thickened health fears and apprehension among staffers of the bank with Mr Aigboje Aig Imhoukhuede as helms man.
The first death that sparked of the health scare among workers was that of Solabomi, a 29yr old mother of 3, traced to hypertension over inability to meet fund acquisition target.
It was reported that the Divisional Director of the bank gave them an ear-pulling warning early this year to raise cheap funds for the bank of N1trillion in 6months. Solabomi lost her life because of bad accounts she inherited from a product called Auto-online (Car Loan) coupled with the incident of one of her customers withdrawing 200million naira from his account which threw her balance sheet to negative.
