Heavy gun fighting raged in Zaria, Kaduna State on Sunday afternoon after an explosion occurred at a house used by Boko Haram terrorists who were planning to carry out an attack in the city today was raided.
Olufamous.com also gathered from credible sources that JTF operatives detonated a heavy explosive planted by the dreaded sect, which resulted in the destruction of about 20 houses in the Gaskiya residential area of Zaria.
One person has been reportedly killed in the gun fighting, after a combined team of soldiers and policemen overpowered the terrorist and arrested a female member of the sect.
Nigerian Army Depot PRO, Captain Abdullahi Ibrahim, confirmed the fighting between JTF operatives and Boko Haram fighters.
As at the time of reporting, a source told Olufamous.com that gun fighting was still on.
