There is serious fear in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as President Goodluck Jonathan's aides fight to stay on top of the ugly situations playing out under their watch.
Olufamous.com gathered that Mr President is very angry that some people in his government, especially those working in the presidency, leaked the information about his wife's illness to the press. A source said a covert enquiry might have been ordered to fish out those who leaked the story.
However, another issue that is now causing fear in the hearts of those working closely with the President is the health situation of the Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, who, Olufamous.com learned, has been hospitalised in London for a yet to be disclosed sickness.
An insider said the rumour in the seat of power is that the minister might have suffered the same fate with the president's wife who is currently undergoing treatment for food poisoning in Germany. The source said the fear is that it was possible more senior officials of the government might come down with illness soon, if what they are suspecting is true.
When Olufamous.com asked what they are "suspecting", the source said he can't say much for security reason but that there seems to be a real threat about food poison.
However, another inside source said Alison-Madueke's case is different as she might just be suffering from stress-related ailment and taking a deserve rest on doctor's advice. The source also added that she has denied media reports insinuating that she was rushed to the hospital.
