Presidnet Goodluck Jonathan on Friday got angry and took very drastic decision with regards to the security leadership in the country. He has fired the National Security Adviser, his brother from Bayelsa State, Gen. Andrew Azazi and the Minister of Defence, Bello Haliru.
Olufamous.com gathered from top security sources in Abuja that Mr. President has immediately replaced Gen. Azazi with retired Col. Sambo Dasuki. He is also expected to forward a new name to the National Assembly to replace Bello Haliru who was sacked as Defence Minister.
Recall that the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has held the Jonathan-led administration to the ground in the last one week, almost making a mockery of the country's security tactics.

Yes,it's a right step in d right direction. If GEJ said BH av infiltrated in2 his govt, den y av dey(Defence minister & NSA)not bn able 2 do anything meaningful about it? Instead, d situation is gettin worse despite d fact dat BH always notify dem ahead of d imminent attack! Let's hope dat d new NSA, Rtd. Col. Dasuki & d yet 2 be named Minister wil effect a positive impact on d Nigeria security condition. Meanwhile, it was gathered dat d new NSA once served under IBB. I hope he's not one of d BH kingpin. DeleteMoving forward we must sack Jonathan too in 2015. Enough of playing politics with the lives of Christians and Nigerians at large!!
ReplyDeleteSo this is the gift he brought from Brazil with his monumental entourage of 116 abi? Am not impressed, just window dressing. Total overhaul of security is the answer. Comrade Chris

ReplyDeleteBut what else were you expecting from a confused man! Well,Nigerians already expected this long time ago, ever since Azazi said the truth after THIS DAYs' office bombing. But the big question is,will this modification make any impart drastically on the insecurity situation in the country?
