Information at the disposal of Olufamous.com is that after ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo openly said there are thieves and rouges in the National Assembly, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal travelled to the former president’s residence in Ota, Ogun State, to seek audience with him over the statement.
It was gathered that Obasanjo showed Tambuwal a live video recording which showed Hon. Farouk Lawan collecting a huge amount of foreign currency (said to be $600,000) from oil company officials.

Tambuwal was said to have been rudely shocked by the video Obasanjo showed him to justify why he made his controversial allegation against the lawmakers.
Sources told Olufamous.com that the Speaker immediately returned to Abuja and confronted Hon. Lawan over the issue in a meeting of principal officers of the House where he had been summoned to defend himself. His explanations were said to be very watery.
Several sources at the weekend told Olufamous.com that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has already taken up the matter as directed by the Presidency as the commission is set to invited the House adhoc committee member(s) for interrogation.
“While we await investigation into these weighty accusations, we wish to state without equivocation that this Honourable House will never take side with corruption and we will always stand on the side of the rule of law," the House of Reps spokesman, Hon. Zakari Muhammad, said in a statement washing the hands of the House off the Farouk Lawan bribery scandal.
