According to reliable information at the disposal of Olufamous.com from top security sources in Abuja, “there are still many people in the House who knew more about the bribe.” It is now obvious that Farouk Lawan did not eat the bribe alone, he only took the lead as the Chair of the committee that investigated the fuel subsidy scam.
Those who were fingered in the bribery scandal by Farouk are Ali Ahmad (PDP); John Enoh (PDP); Umar Sade (PDP); James Faleke (ACN); Eucharia Azodo (PDP) and Irona Alphonsus (PDP). The Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotics, Adam Jagaba, who Lawan claimed to have kept the bribe money with, is also expected to be be interrogated.
Recall that the bribe was collected by Farouk Lawan and Clerk of the committee, Boniface Emenalo from Mr. Femi Otedola. Lawan and Emenalo were last Thursday interrogated and detained for 48 hours by the police.
The two regained their freedom on Saturday, but are expected to report back on Monday at the police headquarters for further questioning.
Also, there are strong indications that more marketers actually parted with huge sums of money with a view to get a "favourable verdict from Farouk and his people" since, many believe, every single marketer was guilty of the offence of "round-tripping".
As a result of the "revelations" made by Farouk to Police investigators over the roles played by other people, including members of his committee, about seven more persons have thus been pencilled down for interrogation.
Olufamous.com gathered that these persons are expected to answer questions relating to their roles in the $620,000 bribery scandal and they have until Tuesday to either appear or be declared wanted for fraud by the Police authority.

Also, a reliable source hinted Olufamous.com that Mr. Otedola will most likely be invited to the police headquarters this week to answer to "some disclosures" made by Farouk to the Special Task Force led by Commissioner of Police, Ali Ahmadu.
“It is very likely that Otedola will be summoned again to make one or two clarifications. It is not right to say that we are partial. He is the complainant. We are going to call him again to respond to certain things Lawan said,” a member of the STF revealed.

There is too much greed among politicians and that is the only reason for this nonsense we are seeing from them. Linda

ReplyDeleteIt is now left for his constituency to recall him and inec should conduct a bye-election to elect another lawmaker. Farouk's political career is gone. The fight against corruption should start now. Those he fingered must be recalled by their constituencies for inec to conduct byelections to filled the vacant seats.
