The governor of Edo State and governorship candidate of the ACN, Comrrade Adams Oshiomhole, has been declared winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
At a crowded session at the Edo State INEC headquarters on Sunday, the Returning Officer, Prof. Osayuki Oshodin, said Oshiomhole scored a total of 477,478 votes (or 73 peercent of the total votes cast) to beat his closest rival, Maj. Gen. Charles Airhiavbere of the PDP, who scored 144,235 votes (or 22 percent of the total votes cast).

ReplyDeleteI'm happy that Oshiomhole won.He said that he is disappointed in Jega and INEC which is pre judging.Are are we sure that when he said pdp was trying to kill him.He might be right that a pdp man may try to kill him but he should stop generalizing things.I'm never a pdp person and need to say the truth.Oshiomhole took bribe when he was labour leader and stoped fighting for the masses.He is a good man with good record but he must make sure he has prove before saying certain things.I'm not happy on his comment for Jaga because Jaga delivered in controversial elections like Anambra,Imo and now Edo.

ReplyDeleteOshimole in his first term had more proven record on d ground compared to d 8yrs Lucky Igbinedion was there as Governor. Weather they rename it new PDP or Old PDP,what is about to happen in Edo state will replicate itself in all d states of Nigeria! PDP is a washed out party of criminals and corrupt ppl whose only goal is to steal public funds for their personal use and pleasure sleeping with impoverished young girls when ever they gather to suck d nations blood. May that Party be cursed for ever! Amen!!

ReplyDeletethe worst mistske of president Goodluck Jonathan throughout his four years tenure was made when he condescendingly went and led the campaign for pdp in edo state even when he knows how Oshiomhole has transformed the state. i have no douth whatsoever that this is why OMO N OBA refused to receive him. this shows that mr president as an indigene of niger delta region, is odviously not interested in the progress, development and transformation of the region. PDP WILL GO INTO EXTINSION IN DE NEARESR FUFURE
