As the pilot struggled in the air to make it to Abuja, the tension was so much that “People clung on to their seats for dear life with shouts and cries of Jesus,” a passenger revealed.
“This is the hallmark of the flight delays and the resultant effects of lack of NCAA,” the passenger added. In a rush to get to Abuja before the start of the rains the pilot ignored all warnings and took the aircraft and passengers through an extremely turbulent flight, a source revealed.
Also, on landing at Abuja the plane almost skidded off the runway and passengers had to wait on the aircraft for thirty minutes before disembarking due to heavy rains.

ReplyDeleteI think Pilots should not be allowed to be ignoring warnings at their discretion bcos people's lives are involved...what if the opposite had happened? Pls lets not allow sentiments in the air.
ReplyDeleteThis pilot must be grounded right away and put back into a six months rigorous training protocol! He is an accident waiting to happen!
ReplyDeleteGbam! Sensible talk
DeleteImagine the nonsense it could have resulted to. That the pilot ignored warning and took the risk of flying under heavy rain and they (authorities)could not stop him from flying.
ReplyDeleteIf the worst had happened, Nigerians would be told that the pilot ignored warning not to fly and it happened.
Is that an excuse? This is negligent of duty by airways officials. The pilot should be grounded for six months for taking that kind of risk. He was pursuing his flight allowance and that was why he risked passengers' lives that could have resulted to carnage .
