It is quit shameful that people who carry themselves like 'special humans' back home in Nigeria will go to London and act like 'cheap squatters', a source told Olufamous.com.
Information reaching Olufamous.com is that two Nollywood veterans, Justus Esiri and Segun Arinze got their fingers burnt few days ago when they decided to "cut cost" and checked into a very cheap hotel without considering their security in Surrey, United Kingdom.
As would be expected in such 'jungle hotels', the actors left for their rehearsal but returned to discover that some of their valuables had disappeared. The items stolen included Ipad, laptop, physical cash, international passport, etc.
Olufamous.com gathered that all efforts made to trace the burglars have so far proved abortive as even the police said they can't do much since the actors left better hotels to lodge in a hotel that doesn't even have a functional CCTV camera that could be used to track crimes and criminals.

They just showed us they are cheap celebrities who only carry shoulders up for people in Lagos. I dey laff o... Linda
ReplyDeleteThis is to tell u how corrupt we are as a people, a government agency sponsored their trip but these guys collected the money and decided to hide in one cheap bunk to make excess profit....

DeleteOdes.

DeleteAbeg olu shove it joor anybody can lodge anywhere they want and travelodge is £30! For some1 staying for over a month its ok, so what are u talking about here! It's just unfortunate! If they stay friend house na una go still complain, if they stay 5star na una go still talk say them dey waste money!!! Human being sha!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!!!!!!!
DeleteLol
ReplyDeleteJustus Esiri is sure bigger than that kind of hotel, not even his son will agree for a promoter to lodge him in such "cheap" guest house. TUNDE
ReplyDeletePOVERTY OF THE MIND!!!
ReplyDeleteAre these men even still relevant 2 d industry?
ReplyDeleteCheap Mugus! Oyinbo don show dem say dey be better thief than Nigerians!
ReplyDeletewhat the fuck is your business, if u were in there shoes u will do worse,.
ReplyDeletePeople should be objective enough when commenting on things like this. Does the price of the hotel calls for robbery? Is it a crime for one to decide on how he/she spends his/her money? If it were to happen to a foreigner in Nigeria, Oyimbo will say Nigeria is unsafe. Even the police is blaming them for staying in cheap hotels instead of accepting their ineptitude. Shame on the british police!

thank u my br,,
DeleteMy dear, just to show u that we are insatiable beings. Wot is wrong in them showing humility? Whichever way they choose to live their lives, inasmuch as it's not a crime & does not affect another person's existence should not be anybody's business.
DeleteI think greed to make small change is their problem. Why risk ur lives for money our Nollywood big boys? WALE
ReplyDeletewhat is disgraceful about somebody cutting his/her spendings,,that is why there are many corruptins in Naija cos ome people always want to show they are rich or superior,,presently British prime minister was seen boarding a public transport, will u call that disgrace?,,we should learn to be humble and not too proud in Naija
ReplyDeleteWhat is ur bizness? If they had spend much u guys will shout corruption now they ar spending less u stil went ahead to write nonsense about them. Lets learn to kip quiet when we hav nothing to say. Im tired of these naija critics
ReplyDeleteIf truly a government agency gave them money for accommodation then I dont blame this thieves coz they are greedy

Your story has a bit of discrepancy. How can you say they disgraced Nigeria in the 'type' of hotel they stayed. How does the price of hotel one decides to stay 'disgrace' Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteWere they the only ones lodged there? Get your facts right. I'm sure if they had the choice they would stay in a better hotel. More like blame the organisers who lodged them there.
The Police couldnt have told them to stay in a better hotel. That's crap and anyone who believes that part is gullible.
one should empathise with them because of their losses rather than bring them down due to no fault of theirs.
Lodging in a pretty affordable hotel doesn't make stealing right too.
Your story should be changed to how the actors possessions got stolen in a 'cheap' hotel in Surrey without condemning the actors, but more of the organisers who lodged them and other actors there.
Thank you thank you thank you for the write up. Atleast somebody is using common sense to anlyse the whole situation
