Death Sentence Over N1,705: Lawyer Goes On Appeal

Mohammed Adoke, Minister of Justice.
“The convict has the right to appeal against the judgment. It is not a judgment that we are satisfied with, so we are definitely going to appeal at the Court of Appeal.”

Mr. Kekemeke said while reacting to the “harsh” judgement against a 26-year-old boy, Obinah John, who was accused of stealing N1,705 from one Dorothy in Jos, Plateau State.
