I Don’t Know Who Stole The Bribe -Farouk Tells Investigators

It’s quite unfortunate what Hon. Farouk Lawan is going though at the moment. The suspended lawmaker is fast becoming a shadow of his former self and he's almost left with no iota of credibility, particularly after the video which captured him collecting bribe from Mr. Femi Otedola was shown to him.

Credible sources told Olufamous.com that Farouk was caught on camera stuffing dollars into every available pocket on his body. When his pocket got filled he, very shamelessly, removed his cap, put the remaining dollars inside and wear the cap on his head.

Security experts believed he did such in order not be been seen by anyone leaving Mr. Otedola’s house with bag(s), since he didn't go their with bag in the first place.

He was said to have earlier insisted that he collected the said bribe with the intent of using same as evidence against Mr. Otedola but, Olufamous.com gathered that he became sober as soon as the video was played before him and those investigating him.

However, the matter became more controversial when Farouk failed to provided the same money he had collected. Asked by investigators to surrender the marked dollars, Farouk could only provide a few leftovers, claiming the rest had been stolen. A security source told Olufamous.com that the Police hierarchy is highly disappointed in Farouk.

Also, Mr. Frank Mba, Force spokesman, confirmed that the embattled lawmaker is still in their custody because “investigations were still ongoing”.

  11. Mr Olu, I salute you for hitting the nail by the head in all your posts, unlike newspapers that don't normally put their informations in accurate ways.
This Farouk of a man is so greedy and corrupt like this that he stuffed the money in all his pockets and even inside his cap and then put on the cap back to his head. This is crazy. What of the millions of naira he and others had been looting in the house. Is that one not enough for him? He was the chairman , house committee on education and what he had been stealing their with education minister is still not enough for him to an extent of visiting Odetola house to collect bribe around 3am when he was suppose to be sleeping in his house. He deserved life sentence.

  13. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Serves him right. Unfortunately, others will still not learn from him bcos of d mentality dat he was careless or may be his time was up. Meanwhile, we don't have a saint or Messiah in Nigeria. No one can be trusted among us. Entrust into the care of anybody who claimed to be a saint; money, women & power then see how the mighty falls! Nigeria can be a better place only when we all av attitudinal change right from d 4 corners of our rooms, streets, wards, communities, states, etc. One can imagine or wonder how many of dz similar corrupt practices are perpetrated in ministries, parastastals, schools, hospitals, and so on which are neva exposed. Look around urselves, we are neck-deep into corruption. Check/ask urself, are u free? "God wil not do for man wat man should do for himself". Until we av a change in attitude... Yormie
