It's unfortunate that Nigeria is about to return to the dark days of dictatorship and media censorship if the information at the disposal of Olufamous.com is anything to go by.
The architect of this sad plot is no other than Senate President David Mark, the man who was once quoted as saying that telephone is not meant for everybody.
While patriotic leaders in progressive countries of the world are utilizing the Social Media to sell their ideas to citizens and seeking their support, Olufamous.com gathered that Senator David Mark is set to fight the freedom of the social media in Nigeria for some selfish reasons.
In fact, a source told Olufamous.com that the senate president is so obsessed with the idea of regulating the Social Media that he had to openly voice out his hatred for it during a retreat in Abia State on Thursday. In his speech, David Mark described the Social Media as "dangerous" and a "threat to good governance".
The question is who's the real threat to good governance:
Is it the Social Media or Corrupt Nigerian Politicians?

ReplyDeleteI think he should start with shutting down the whole internet services in Nigeria, has he forgotten that once he does that, he won't be able to make calls on his phone again including the satellite phones. No more satellite TV on NTA as they forced all government parastatals to be watching. Will he return the license money of the chinko cable TV stations (Startimes) South African Cable TV (DSTV) won't take it easy and finally, hope no family members of friends are on emergency life saving oxygen machines at the hospitals because they were operated online. i can continue on and on... please find something profitable and more challenging to do...
